I am writing to share information about our upcoming Board of Trustees study session tomorrow and March 24th.

Typically, study session meetings are informational in nature and do not include action items. However, at this upcoming study session, the Board of Trustees will be asked to consider taking action on three action items related to the budget. Taking action at this meeting is necessary to ensure that the district’s Second Interim Budget, which will be presented at the regularly scheduled board meeting on March 10, is as accurate and complete as possible.

While we do not typically provide Zoom access for special board meetings or study sessions, this meeting will be cast via Zoom since it includes action items related to the budget. We want to ensure broad access and transparency for our staff and families.

Additionally, we plan to provide Zoom access for the special board meeting on March 24th, as we anticipate a report from the Fiscal Crisis Management and Assistance Team (FCMAT).  This report is related to the District’s Fiscal Health Risk Analysis that is currently underway by FCMAT.

Thank you,
Mike Herfurth
